The Wine Gums live @ The Cocoon

Took this video last night at The Cocoon. One of Kota Kinabalu’s more decent places to hang out. I only managed to get them singing two numbers but had to leave after their first set.

The Wine Gums are of course made up of more than three persons. However, I only gotten to know four of them, thus far i.e. Vic, Noreen, Dianne and Daniel. So to the equally talented guys at the back, my apology for not mentioning your names.

Broken Hearted

I woke up from my sleep and looked at the time, it was 3pm.  Three more hours and you would be home. I anticipated your coming home with excitement and I felt the next three hours seemed to be an eternity.

Suddenly, I woke up and realized that I had been dreaming. The reality is, it is morning and I am thousand of miles away from you. I will not be seeing you soon. A sense of desperation and helplessness came over me. My heart ached to be near you. I miss you very very much.

I wouldn’t wish this situation on any loving parent. The price is just too much.

My Elijah. Daddy miss you very much.

BN is crying foul over “Leap Frog”?

In the front page of Daily Express dated 24 June 2008 (today):

Shabery : SAPP members shouldn’t follow Yong

A short excerpt from the report:

Kuala Lumpur : Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Members of Parliament (MPs) were voted in on the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket in the March 8 election and as such should be more responsible and uphold the BN discipline, said Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek.

He said it was not the BN way to question its leadership.

“Like in a family, it is not right for a member to talk bad about the family to outsiders, what more to cooperate with enemies of the family just because they promised better things.

If the SAPP MPs feel they need to serve the people, they have no other choice but to remain in BN. They must take a different path from their own leader, who has gone against BN top leadership,”

Ahmad Shabery, who is also Kemaman MP, said SAPP MPs must make a stand whether to accept their leader’s action or respect the wishes of the people for them to serve under BN.

I almost fell off from the chair reading that report. Hogwash! Baloney! These are the first words that came to mind. Minister of Information indeed! I think the designation of Minister of Disinformation would better reflect his function.

Is he new in the game or has the machinery in the ministry failed him that he failed to get the right information? He is reminding the SAPP MPs that they were voted in on BN’s ticket. Therefore, they should not jump ship. Hmm… Let me see whether I can recall what happened in Sabah approximately 13 years ago during the 1994 State election. Oh yes, Many PBS MPs who were voted in on PBS’s ticket jumped to BN!

BN didn’t think it was a problem then, why should it be a problem now?

Mr Shabery’s comment is a personal insult to all Sabahans. How low he views our intelligence. This culture of “leap frogging” was encouraged and perpetuated by BN and now when they have a taste of their own medicine, they are crying foul. Get a grip of yourself man! Have some dignity.

I think BN is an old senile man that is fighting desperately to cling on powers. His body is ravaged and decomposing from all the years of living in decadence. He is starting to spout nonsense.
